Variations in clay shapes – from natural forms to creation.
A group of clay models inspired by the shape of a Schefflera (taiwanianum) seed pod, which was viewed from various perspectives to create the forms: sometimes up close, sometimes from a distance.
This resulted in five fist-sized models that capture the individual aspects of the seed capsule and represent them in an abstract manner: from the round, spinning-top-like shape to the indentations on the top of the seeds, and finally to the hedgehog-like arrangement of the individual seeds on the stem. Partially glazed to highlight the shape.
